Hello, I'm Andrella Jones-Thomas, founder of Urban Eden: Indoor Plant Care, plant enthusiast, educator, and advocate for wellness through nature.

Born in Sacramento, California, and raised in Vallejo, CA, I graduated from Vallejo High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from The University of Phoenix. Throughout my professional career, I have held a variety of positions ranging from customer service roles to leadership positions, including serving as a Regional Manager for a prestigious third-party property management company. These experiences helped shape my strong work ethic, leadership skills, and passion for helping others.
My love for plants began at an early age. I grew up watching my mother lovingly care for her indoor garden, filling our home with cascading pothos, lush dieffenbachias reaching toward high ceilings, and beautiful peace lilies that brought warmth and life to every room. My father shared a similar passion outdoors, teaching me the value of nurturing and maintaining gardens. Together, these experiences created the foundation for my appreciation of nature and the role it plays in our everyday lives.
As I expanded my own collection of houseplants, I discovered that caring for plants was about much more than aesthetics. Plants teach patience, resilience, mindfulness, and growth. They have a unique ability to transform spaces, improve well-being, and create meaningful connections to nature. Through my personal plant journey, I realized I wanted to share this knowledge and passion with others.
Urban Eden was created as a platform to inspire, educate, and support plant lovers at every stage of their journey. Through plant care services, plant styling, workshops, and educational content, my goal is to help people confidently care for their plants while creating beautiful, thriving indoor environments.
At Urban Eden, I believe plants are more than décor—they are living reminders of growth, balance, and wellness. By bringing nature into our homes and workplaces, we create spaces that nurture both our plants and ourselves.
